Pemberton is deep in the magnificent karri forests. Karri grows up to 90m high, making it the tallest tree in Western Australia.
We started off early again, after I managed to locate the missing cap which Ah Wei have hidded in a corner in the room.
It was cold with a little drizzle when we reached the Gloucester tree. The tree was 60m tall and was chosen for a fire lookout point.
Daddy decided not to climb it and we then went to the Pemberton Lavender and Berry Farm. It was raining, thus we only took some pictures with the berries and then continued with our journey to Walpole.
Beautiful Tree Nursery on the way to Walpole
It wasn't long when we reached The Giant Tingle Tree. The forest air was damp and scented with the smell from the beautiful tingle and karri trees.
Then it was to The Valley of the Giants - famous for its Tree Top Walk. I was terribly afraid of heights, little gal have to hold and assured me that its okay. We also went for the Ancient Empire Walk to yet others tingle trees.
The Tree Top Walk is a 600m long ramp gentle rises from the floor of The Valley of the Giants, allowing visitors access high into the canopy of the gaint tingle trees. At the highest point, the ramp is 40m above the ground. Its designed to sway gently in the breeze, mimicking life in the tree tops.
At ground level, the Ancient Empire boardwalk meanders around and through the base of the red tingles, some of which are 16m in circumference.
On the way to Denmark, we stop by in Dinosaur World. The dinosaur models were nothing, but the owner let us fed and pat the kangeroos, he also let us pictures with his parrots.
There was a wedding going on in Green Pool when we reached there. Vincent suggested we climbed the rocks to get to The Elephant Rocks, its was very difficult, luckily we managed. I was glad that there was actually a much easier way to get up and down.
We packed some sandwiches from Denmark Bakery before heading on to Albany.
Albany is more of a whaling town. Daddy bought little gal to the replica of the brig Amity (its after 5pm and its free). Amity carried Albany's founding party to the area from Sydney in 1826. Ah Wei was sleeping in the car and I stayed with him. We then city tour in the car.
Mt. Clarence & Dog Rock
The whale migrating was not in season and we do not fancy Whale World Museum (Little gal have told us that whale was her fren - from too much Diego). Thus we took off for the Albany Wind Farm.
We tried to locate Natural Bridge & the Gap in Torndirrup National Park but failed. Thereafter we left Albany and countinued our journey back to Perth. It was late and we decided to stay a night in Kojonup.
